George Hatsidimitris: ITET fellowship receipient. Member of SLATIG. As an educational support person in Physics, George has assisted in the design of distance education courses and also in the creation of learning objects that incorporate animations and video. Together with other staff members he successfully applied for a UNSW capital grant that will enable an investigation of multimedia enhanced "active learning" tutorials.

George has also contributed to ensuring that educational needs form the basis of current and proposed laboratory refurbishments in the School of Physics. Other ITET Fellows (Kate Wilson) reinforced this message – resulting in a thorough evaluation and redesign of Physics laboratory activities and facilities to incorporate collaborative work spaces. Without this input it is likely that the new laboratories would have been designed to accommodate traditional lab activities, with little review of how effective these were for student learning.
