Higher Education Reforms

From 1 January 2005, the Commonwealth Government will implement a new system of funding and administration for higher education. Some of the changes only affect students commencing their studies in 2005, however there are a number of changes students will need to be aware of as a student continuing their studies in 2005.

Graduation 2007

All potential graduands for 2007 should check their graduand status prior to the commencement of their final year at uni. Science students who are in their final year must submit their academic details and the relevant re-enrolment form to the science student centre to ensure that they are on track to meet all the requirements for your degree. Students can pick up a re-enrolment form from the Science Student Centre. This form must be submitted by January 2005.

Potential graduands should not only check that they have satisfied the academic requirements for their degree, but also that their testamur details are correct. Some graduands may need to arrange to defer their graduation and/or attend an overseas ceremony. All potential graduands should be aware of relevant dates and deadlines.
